The Department of
Community Education consists of four programs: Recycling Education,
Clean Communities, G-TV and PATRIOT LAKE.
The Office of
Recycling Education has been recognized State wide for our programs
which implement, enforce and promote all recycling and solid waste
programs in the Township.
The Clean
Communities Program also maintains State recognition for our New
Jersey Clean Communities grant-funded program that involves hundreds
of volunteers each year in roadside cleanup efforts.
G-TV is the
Galloway Township Government Access Station, channel 2. This
station broadcasts all Council, Planning and Zoning board meetings
live and runs a 24-hour bulletin board with township announcements.
PATRIOT LAKE has
been called by many “Galloway’s Best Kept Secret”. This beautiful
park is totally handicap-accessible and features walking paths, a
fishing pier, an event gazebo, and many beautiful gardens. The
project has been truly a community endeavor, with trees, benches,
the gazebo, and gardens all sponsored by local citizens and
businesses. |
